Hi everyone. Smile Not been on here for ages but have questions about some symptoms that may be mtx related.Sad Sad Been on max dose (25mg) tabs since January. I have persistent niggly cough, itchy skin with bite-type spots, dry skin especially on legs and my MCV readings are persistently around 104. Also seem to be rather moody and irritable. All these may of course be unrelated, but anyone else had any experience of thes symptoms? Many thanks . BigGrin BigGrin

Hi Jenny

I am on mxt, was on 20mg recently reduced to 15mg temporarily. I have very dry skin but don't know if that is due to mxt or underactive thyroid.

Hi Jenny

I would make an appointment with your GP just to be on the safe side, I know you have to be careful with issues relating to your lungs on mtx, so best to get it checked out due to the niggly cough.

Hi

The above caught my eye particularly as I had a problem with 'vasculitis' due to methotrexate. The itchy skin became quite thin and I developed a spotty type rash. I stopped MTX for a couple of years but went back on it with anti-tnf and the problems didn't recur.

Definitely worth getting it checked as the other symptoms are suggestive of an intolerance to MTX.

Good luck,
